Hi! I'm the new Haase baby. My name is Marcus Edward. I was born at 1:09pm on Sunday, January 16th of 2000 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio! I measured 20 inches and weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces. My parents are really, really happy and excited but also tired.

Here are the first pictures taken of me. Don't worry...they aren't too gross.

Here's what I looked like right after I was born. Not as gross as you thought it would be, huh? Notice you can't see how pointy my head is. That's because my parents didn't realize it would disappear the next day and didn't think to take a picture of it today.

Here's a closeup of my face. You can tell how stunned I was when I came into the world. I just looked around trying to figure it all out, and then I finally cried a bit. After that, things got worse...

Hey! Why can't my parents have some sense of decency? I was really cold, so they pretended to make me comfortable under a heat lamp. But then they had to measure my heart rate and clear my airways, and that was not fun.

Finally, they gave me a chance to sleep. That whole birth thing was kinda tiring for me, not to mention for my Mom (and a little bit for Dad). But Mom did a tremendous job and didn't even call Dad any names! Stay tuned for more pictures in a few days.
